How the Smart Board works

Smart board can be divided into several categories according to the principle, such as pressure induction, electromagnetic induction, infrared, CCD, etc.. Each technology has different characteristics and advantages and occupies a certain share in the market. Analysis reports from international authoritative market research institutions show that in recent years, the international market, electromagnetic induction technology and pressure induction technology of smart board dominates the market, followed by ultrasonic and infrared technology.

Principle of Smart Board
1. Pressure-sensitive technology

A smart board with pressure-sensitive input is the equivalent of a computer’s touch screen. When the teacher touches the options displayed on the screen with a finger or pen, the computer automatically processes the corresponding action. This type of smart board has two pressure-sensitive membranes inside. When pressure is applied to a point on the surface of the smart board, the two membranes form a short circuit at that point and the controller of the smart board detects the coordinate value of the pressured point and sends it to the computer through the interface.

2. Electromagnetic Wave Technology

The electromagnetic wave induction smart board uses a pen that emits electromagnetic waves. A receiving coil membrane is arranged horizontally and vertically on the smart board, and when the pen is close to the coil membrane, the coil membrane senses the electromagnetic waves emitted by the pen. The closer to the pen, the higher the electromagnetic wave induced by the coil membrane.

3. Infrared technology

The infrared receiving and transmitting tubes densely distributed around the display area form a horizontal and vertical scanning grid, forming a scanning plan. When an object blocks a pair of horizontal and vertical scanning lines in the grid, the X and Y coordinates can be determined by the position of the blocked horizontal and vertical infrared lines.

4. Ultrasonic Technology

What is a Smart Board?

The Smart Board is a touch-acceptable interactive whiteboard that allows you to write and move content around at will.
The Smartboard can tap things with your finger and comes with a special pen to write with, which saves teachers time deleting marks as they write on the whiteboard.
The advanced version of the Smartboard now allows students to solve problems on the Smartboard at the same time. Once upon a time, only one person could touch the board, because the Smart Board does not respond to multiple touches.
Only a detailed understanding of the operating status of the various working modes and skillful control of the switching methods between them can effectively improve the efficiency of using the Smart Board in daily educational and teaching work, thus improving the actual teaching effect.
